The Team

One of our core objectives is to work effectively within teams to ensure development projects are delivered on time and in budget. At Urbanissta we either establish full project teams or work with an existing team - large or small. Our extensive range of contacts whose experience and expertise can be drawn upon via our sub contractor contacts, to solve technical dilemmas.

Akeem Iginla BSc, LL.B, LL.M

Akeem previously worked as Director of Alade Iginla & Sons Ltd, later studied law and worked for Citizen Advice Bureau as Legal Case Officer. He is BSc, LL.B, LL.M qualified. Given Akeem’s legal background he joined Urbanissta as Business Development Director in early 2017 and currently studying MA in Urban and Regional Planning in anticipation for RTPI Membership.

Akeem is responsible for identifying new business opportunities - new markets, new ways to reach existing client’s, and develop new service offerings to better meet the needs of existing clients. Enforcing the company’s HR and Legal policies consistently and fairly. He has also worked on a wide range of planning applications and other planning priorities.

Mark Sanderson  BA (Hons) MA

Mark secured a degree in the History of Architecture and Design and an MA in Architectural Conservation and has an extensive track record in working on heritage and conservation projects across London, the South East and Midlands. Being member of the TBC Mark is an expert in heritage and conservation related matters.

Jo Hanslip BA (Hons), BPL, MRTPI, Dip GD KLC

Urbanissta Ltd was established in January 2011 by Jo Hanslip who set the Company up having spent the previous 8 years working as a senior Director for Redrow Homes Plc. She previously worked for the House Builders Federation (HBF); Babtie and various local authorities across England. Jo has been a member of the RTPI since 1998.

Farhana Hussain LLB (Hons) MA, Licentiate RTPI

Farhana joined Urbanissta in October 2016 and is currently a graduate planner at the Company. Before this role Farhana worked in Civil Litigation at an international law firm for a number of years. During her time here, she has worked on a wide range of planning applications. Her projects include Foxley Lane, Spencers Field and Hills Yard. Farhana holds an MA in International Planning and Sustainable Development from the University of Westminster and is currently working towards her APC to become a Chartered Planner. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring London, yoga and pottery.

Kathryn Waldron  BA(Hons) Msc, MRTPI

Kathryn joined Urbanissta in June 2015 from Test Valley Borough Council as a Graduate Planner. Following membership of the RTPI in August 2016 Kathryn has gone from a graduate through to a Senior Planner. Kathryn has a degree in Geography from the University of Portsmouth and a Masters in Planning from Plymouth University. Along with chartered membership of the RTPI Kathryn aspires to complete RICS membership one day! Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys photography, travel and sports.

Eve Haskings BA (Hons); KLC Diploma GD

Eve had an extensive career in delivering strategic creative projects for national and international media companies before qualifying with a distinction from KLC School of Garden Design and now works as a landscape designer.
