We were appointed to support the planning strategy for securing approval for an alternative vehicular access serving a new property within the curtilage of the Grade II listed The Elms.
Our role focused on providing detailed heritage and conservation area advice, carefully assessing the significance of the existing tree-lined sweeping drive and demonstrating how the proposed relocation would enhance the setting and appreciation of the listed building.
Through a considered and sensitive approach, the proposals successfully balanced heritage significance with the practical requirements of the new development. Planning permission was secured in 2018.
